Translator & Writer

Joaquín Gavilano is a Bolivian translator, writer, and editor. He’s an editor and co-founder of Chaski Review and a former editor for the Arkansas International. He’s a graduate of the MFA program in Creative Writing and Translation and has been the recipient of a PEN/Heim Translation fund grant, a Mid-America Arts Alliance grant, the Carolyn F. Walton Cole Fellowship in Translation, and the Walton Family Fellowship in Translation. His work has been published in Southwest Review, Modern Poetry in Translation, Two Lines Press, Latin American Literature Today, and more.
